Dear Friends,

As the year draws to a close, Arlene and I were thinking about our commitment to Dr. Howard Settle to try to inspire the global movement family to become collectively one of eight major donors who will each take responsibility for supporting 1,000 Maharishi Vedic Pandits here at the Brahmasthan of India. We have made good progress in 2009 towards this goal, with many dear meditators from 39 countries around the world recognizing through their precious donations how central the Vedic Pandits at the Brahmasthan are to Maharishi’s plan for creating Sat Yuga. Yet to support 1,000 Pandits from our website, more will need to join us.

In finding new ways to reach our movement family, I would very much like to hear from you about your experience in donating. Perhaps we will include some of the responses (without names) in a special Global Family Chat that will be broadcast after the week of Silence. The broadcast would feature the perspectives of those who are intimately involved in the project including Dr. Howard Settle, Paul Gelderloos and myself plus the views of those like you who regularly, so kindly and generously give their support, large and small, to help build this group.

May I invite you to please write a short note with your feeling and experience in donating. Perhaps you could mention:

• What thought motivated you to decide on supporting the pundits?
• In which way you feel benefited from doing so? Your experiences?
• Maybe Nature has rewarded you in some special way?
• Any other thoughts you might have.
